#VallettaSummit Highlights Discrepancies In #EU, #African Priorities On #Refugee Crisis!

“I think it is better to invest in people than weapons,” Luxembourg’s prime minister told journalists ahead of a migration summit, highlighting what would be a major point of divergence between European and African representatives in attendance.

VALLETTA, Malta — The clamor for gas and oil by Western nations, in particular NATO’s destruction of Libya and Syria for access to those resources, has given rise to the largest refugee crisis since World War II, with more than one million refugees from war-torn nations expected to cross into Europe by the end of the year.

Over half a million refugees had fled to Europe by September, attempting to escape the horrors of Daesh (the Arabic acronym for the terrorist group alternately known as the Islamic State, ISIS, and…

#RegimeChange: Does the #West want #democracy in the #MiddleEast?

| truthaholics

Does the West want democracy in the Middle East?19 November 2015.

The Paris attacks have once again revealed the West’s bewilderment as to why it is under attack.

In the months after 9/11, Americans asked: “Why do they hate us?”

Today, European politicians, journalists and academics are still searching for an explanation as to why so many young Muslims are being radicalised.

Religion, economic deprivation and Western foreign policy are all put forward as possible drivers of jihadism. The one thing most people can agree on is that the West is unsure how to react to the so-called Islamic State (IS).

The confusion is reflected in the West’s uncertain attitude towards democracy in the Arab world. A few weeks before he ordered the invasion of Iraq in 2003, President George W Bush said that once Saddam Hussein had been toppled, Iraq would become…

57 Years Ago: US & UK approved using Islamic Extremists to topple Syrian Govt!

57 Years Ago: U.S. and Britain Approved Use of Islamic Extremists to Topple Syrian Government BIOMORPHIC, MAKE WARS HISTORY

Have the U.S. and Its Allies Intentionally Balkanized Syria Into Smaller Regions?

BBC reportsthat – in 1957 – the British and American leaders approved the use of Islamic extremists and false flag attacks to topple the Syrian government:

Nearly 50 years before the war in Iraq, Britain and America sought a secretive “regime change” in another Arab country… by planning the invasion of Syria and the assassination of leading figures.

Newly discovered documents show how in 1957 [former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom] Harold Macmillan and President Dwight Eisenhower approved a CIA-MI6 plan to stage fake border incidents as an excuse for an invasion by Syria’s pro-western neighbours, and then to “eliminate” the most influential triumvirate in Damascus.

#TPP Trans Pacific Partnership deal: #Corporations, not nations, call the shots!

| truthaholics

nofasttrack

WASHINGTON – One thing has become clear to worker advocates analyzing the proposed Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement: if it is enacted as written, it will give corporations and banks a way to undermine or ignore any and all regulations member nations have put in place to protect consumers and workers.

Under the version of the TPP being promoted by the White House, if investors somehow feel that their “expectations” for profit levels are threatened by a signatory nation’s regulations or laws, they could go to an Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) tribunal. The decisions of the tribunal would supersede national laws and could not be appealed.

Through ISDS systems currently being used to enforce trade agreements, corporations have the same power as sovereign governments. Representatives of corporations come…

#ISIS: “Foreign made bomb” destroyed #Russian plane over #Sinai, #Moscow says!

| truthaholics

“Foreign made bomb” destroyed Russian plane over Sinai, Moscow says ~ Thomas Gaist, World Socialist Web Site, 18 November 2015.

The Russian commercial jetliner brought down over the Sinai in late October was destroyed by a homemade-style, “foreign made” TNT bomb, according to results of a Russian government investigation announced on Monday.

The plane exploded over the Sinai desert after departing from Sharm el-Sheikh, a vacation destination on the Red Sea that is popular with Russian tourists. At 224 dead, the incident represents the most deadly terror attack against Russia since the seizure of a primary school in Beslan by an Islamist terrorist faction in 2004.

Russia’s FSB security agency announced the finding on Tuesday and offered a $50 million reward for information leading to the capture of the perpetrators.

“According to our experts, a homemade explosive device equivalent to 1 kilogram of TNT went off onboard, which caused the plane…

#ParisAttacks: Another #Muslim statement

Sheikh Bewley carefully explains context and detail behind the appalling atrocity here.

___________________________________________________

ta-editorial2 (1)Important clarification touching upon the hubris and moral bankruptcy behind secularism instead of multiculturalism, and the corrosive effects of European post-colonial foreign policy. Taken with the undemocratic trend of domestic policies of assimilation instead of integration, the combined effect is unfair discrimination and denial of equal citizenship for so many causing unmet identity needs, widespread disenfranchisement and downright alienation. Is it any wonder then that some pitifully brainwashed victims are exploited by others with agendas as willing pawns and tools to lash out for more regime-change?

Ex #Mossad head: ‘major mistake’ not to recognise 2006 #Palestinian elections!

Former Mossad head: ‘major mistake’ not to recognise 2006 Palestinian elections ~ MEMO, Monday, 16 November 2015.

Former head of Mossad Efraim Halevy has called Israel’s refusal to recognise the results of the 2006 Palestinian elections, in which Hamas emerged victorious, a “major mistake.”

Halevy made the remarks on Thursday, but they were firstpublishedby Israeli newspaperHa’aretz on Sunday.

Addressing the 2006 poll for the Palestinian Legislative Council, Halevy – who served for decades in various positions within Mossad and as director from 1998-2002 – stated that “[Israel] should have recognised the democratically achieved result in the election, which we did not do.”

This was a “major mistake”, according to Halevy, because it resulted in the Palestinian political arena becoming “a failed system.” Halevy additionally urged Israel to end its opposition to a Palestinian government “in which Hamas participates”, a policy he also described as a “mistake.”

I’m not responsible for #ParisAttacks nor #ISIS and neither is my religion!

I’m not responsible for the Paris attacks or ISIS and neither is my religion ~ Jahangir Mohammed, 5 Pillars, 16th November 2015.

Like most people, I’m shocked and saddened by the events in Paris. My thoughts are with the victims and families of this horrific crime. But I’m not surprised. Some things are inevitable and predictable, writes Jahangir Mohammed of the Centre for Muslim Affairs.

If you go around the world inflicting violence on other people sooner or later it comes back to you. You don’t need security experts and complex theories of extremism and radicalisation to understand that. Even a schoolchild in a playground understands that simple logic.

At a time when people are suffering I don’t like to discuss causes of violence. However the reaction of the media, politicians and so-called experts pointing the finger at Muslims and Islam as if we are all somehow to blame requires a…

Western intervention: Opening the Gates of Hell ~ Brian Heron, [BLOG] COUNTERFIRE, November 16, 2015.

What should the West do?

Cease all intervention in the Middle East,

*accept refugees fleeing from war and

*promote reparations, argues Brian Heron.

Nabila Ramdani, a French journalist writing in the BritishObserver (15 November) reminded her readers of the French victory in football’s World Cup in the Stade de France in 1998. A team that mainly consisted of working-class boys from immigrant families won the cup for France. Ms Ramdani waxes nostalgically over the unity of the country expressed by that moment and now lost.

In 2005 the Paris (and many other French cities) ‘banlieues’ erupted. But the subjects of the riots were the alienated and disengaged youth. The political, social and psychological investigations and polls that subsequently analysed and then re-analysed these ‘eventements’ disposed of the notion that their object had anything…
